Mexico: Playa Del Carmen

We stayed on the north end of the town of Playa Del Carmen which has a real bohemian funky vibe. Here's bit of our explorations in town,

This was the coolest lighting store ever, and I seriously wish that I could have brought one of the huge shells back with us!

The kids as Mexican wrestlers,

Jasper loving his Phoenix henna tattoo,

And the prettiest public bathroom sink I've ever seen, we felt like mermaids.

How was the shopping? Is it at all arts/crafty? In my research I found that there were a few fabulous shops in Playa hidden away like gems, but you had to seek them out. Did you find some handmade treasures? I noticed Carys in a little mexican dress...I just love mexican embroidery. I have started embroidering a pillow for Elle...which I am sure will be years in the making...

Forgot to add also that I just love the flower arrangement. I am completely inspired by it, thanks for sharing...it looks so Indian/asia pacific...

The shopping was great, I always have loved shopping in Mexico on previous trips so I had things in mind that I wanted to find! Carys got that adorable embroidered dress and did not want to take it off, along with a little tooled leather bag that she is still carrying everywhere! I also found a great blanket, an embroidered bag for my self, some little trinkets and Jasper picked out an amazing carved wood Jaguar mask..its really cool and going in his new animal themed bedroom!
