Our Tradition

There is a beautiful coincidence here in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's field of Bluebells always blooms right over Mother's Day weekend. This is an old established field of Bluebells, planted underneath old, huge, shady Oak trees.

So, for the past 5 years it has become a tradition for us to head over there, when they are in full bloom. We take in the beauty and I get to have my picture taken with my favorite people. Really, it is one of the best Mother's Day gifts that I can think of.

And oh the smell of all those flowers in bloom is just amazing!
