For the past five years on Columbus Day weekend we have visited the same farm and orchard in the Catskill mountains, a nice drive from NYC. Yesterday was a misty, drizzly sort of day, not too wet and very dramatic for exploring and apple picking on a day trip...
We'll be eating lots of juicy apples in the coming weeks, and making them into apple cake for a special birthday that is fast approaching...
